Can't open the site

If it won't load for you, it's usually your ISP / DNS — not AniHoshi being down for everyone.

1.1.1.1 / DNS / VPN

Most blocks are DNS. Set Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1) or install the free 1.1.1.1 app and turn it on.

Android: Settings → Network → Private DNS → one.one.one.one
iPhone: 1.1.1.1 app
Windows: Settings → Network → your adapter → Edit DNS → Manual → 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1

Still blocked? VPN to a nearby country, then reload.

Hard refresh

Windows/Linux: Ctrl + Shift + R · Mac: Cmd + Shift + R. Or a private window / clear site data.

We will never ask you to install a special player, codec, or “AniHoshi app.” Any page that does is not us — close it.

Video won't play

Black screen, endless spinner, or it dies mid-episode? Try this before saying the site is down. Player hosts get ISP-blocked a lot.

If the video errors or won't load: turn on 1.1.1.1 (app / DNS) or a VPN, then reload and try another server. Same fix as access — player CDNs get blocked too.

1.1.1.1 or VPN

Playback errors are often DNS/ISP blocks on the player host. Set 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1, or use the 1.1.1.1 app / a VPN, then hard refresh.

Clear cache

Hard refresh the watch page. We replace blocked player domains; old cache keeps loading the dead ones.

Switch server

Try another source on the same episode. One host can fail while others work.

Subtitles

Open CC / captions and pick a track. The first one is sometimes empty / signs-only.

Nothing the player popup tells you to “download” or “update” is real. Close it. Still broken? Post on Community with anime + episode + server name.

Mana is AniHoshi's community points. It shows on your profile and next to your name. Spending Mana in the shop can lower your rank.

Watch Mana only counts for time you actually watch — skipping to the end or farming 1-min stuff doesn't work. New accounts start with a lower daily watch cap. Check My Zone for today's watch Mana / cap.

Upvote cap

Upvotes on your stuff give Mana, capped at 100 Mana/day. After that, wait until tomorrow. Spam gets auto-modded.

Use Watch Together on the watch page, or browse /watch2gether. Share the room link.

Private means private

Turn Public off and the room stays off the public list — only people with the link get in. Your rooms still show under My Rooms.

There's no built-in voice chat. Use a call on the side while the room keeps the video in sync.

Rules (short)

Discuss anime. No off-topic spam, self-promo, or misleading posts.
Spamming for Mana gets comments deleted and can get you banned. If you got banned and cooled off, email us via Contact.
